My BLACK POEM

My Black Poem

Is my color perceived as a threat?
You hide behind the Law, your Brass, your bullets and your guns, am I a threat???
When you look at me, what is it that you truly see?

Yes! Say it, for I know what I am and who I am!!!
I am a BLACK MAN, a Specimen of Natural talents and Supreme qualities! I am Powerful, I am Pure and I'm Proud of being BLACK, and just as a little side note... "I am a Human being just like you..."

My Father's Father and his Father's Father and their ForeFathers fought for this thing called FREEDOM; which is naturally accompanied by Human Rights, Equality and Justice for all, but It's becoming ever more clear that Emancipation might just have been the greatest lie and that laws are exactly what they are, Black and White!

My color is perceived as a threat, for I am Black. Is my life of no value to you? History proves that this Great Nation was forged on the BACKS of BLACKS! I, a BLACK MAN, shall Rise and Overcome against all odds. It is with this knowledge and My BLACK Nature I write this MY BLACK POEM! MY BLACK POEM!

"RIP to those who were unjustly ripped from this life." Hopefully, the conversation will go on and changes will be made...
